For Referrers
Behaviour Support and Therapy is a specialist Behaviour Support, Support Coordination and Therapy service. We have particular experience and expertise:
- Assisting clients of all ages and their families to manage complex and difficult behaviours
- Supporting clients with Psychosocial Disability
- Providing Specialist Support Coordination to clients with high or complex needs
- Providing therapy/Capacity Building sessions for clients and family/carers

Our approach
It is our mission to improve the lives of people living with a disability and their carers by nurturing meaningful and sustainable relationships and promoting dignity, opportunity and participation.
We are dedicated to supporting our clients to make positive change, which includes ensuring they have access to the:
- Right funding
- Right team (i.e. a dietician, physiotherapist, psychologist, occupational therapist, speech pathologist etc). We work with an extensive network of expert clinicians and can make recommendations and referrals on request
- Necessary resources (i.e. technology, equipment etc)
Funding and need
We are committed to ensuring each of our clients receives an NDIS plan that matches their level of need and allows them to work positively towards actualising their NDIS goals. We are experienced in supporting clients who feel that they require further funding by:
- Assisting them to understand their rights to seek additional funding by applying for a review of their plan
- Ensuring that they are accessing all the funding lines that they may be entitled to
- Collecting information about their strengths, needs and goals for the future
- Working with them to develop an intervention plan that is value for money and designed to addressed their NDIS goals
- Attending plan review meetings with them, ensuring that our clients have their voices heard.

- Specialist Behaviour Support including developing Behaviour Support and Management Plans and delivering training in Behaviour Management Strategies
- Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Interim Behaviour Support Plans
- Support plans
- Supported Independent Living Applications (SIL applications)
- Crisis plans and crisis intervention
- Psychosocial disability
- Counselling and therapy
- Parent training and training for other carers and support people, including plans for mentors and support workers
- Assessments of client needs including functional assessments and biopsychosocial assessments
- Interactional video analysis or functional video analysis for behaviour support
